Winter Pink Poinsettias

The Free For All Challenge on Splitcoaststampers this week was to make a project using winter flowers.  Well, that is all I have been making lately as I just can’t seem to help myself.  I love those poinsettia dies.

I got a little carried away on this one and it may be a little too heavy with flowers but I still like it.  I love the contrast of the little bit of white Fleur De Lis die showing under the flowers for an added touch of dimension.

It is hard to see in the photo but there are pink organdy ribbon loops and tails mixed into the petals and foliage. You can see my step by step poinsettia tutorial if you would like to see how I make my flowers.

I plan on spending the day today making Christmas cards to send out to my family.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  1. You are going to wear those poinsettia dies out, Kittie! But in the meantime, you are certainly putting them to great use and creating some stunning cards. Since I love pink, this card is particularly beautiful. I’m sure when your family members get your cards, it’s like getting gifts.

  5. This is absolutley stunning! I posted a card today after using your tutorial on making the pointsettias but it does not hold a candle to one of yours! My petals all shifted to being on top of one another instead of being turned slightly. I will have to try again. Your tutorials are the BEST and we so appreciate the time you take to pass on your talent. I watched your bow video’s last night and they are great.
Thank you again for your generosity in sharing all the “how to’s” for us all.
