Good Sunday morning. I would like to invite you to check out my newly posted CARD SALE.
The February Craft A Scene challenge is to make a winter scene. I created window looking out at a snowy barn scene using the small barn image from my Kittie Kits Farm Life Set.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper and a second time on scrap paper to create a mask. I masked the barn and stamped small evergreens around to create a forest background. I watercolored the barn and heat set. I painted the roof top and tiny icicles with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I sponged a brown path up to the barn door and then painted white and embossed the ground area. I sponged blue ink to create the sky.
I created the brick wall using the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder. I used the red ink pad directly on the raised embossed bricks to color. I sponged brown ink around the mortar areas. I die cut the window and attached mounting tape to the back edges and layered it over the barn scene.
I embellished the window with a tiny pine bough and red ribbon for the perfect finishing touch. I have a few winter scene tutorials if you would like to see how I create my scenes. Winter Scene Tutorial and Winter Scene with Masking

Love this. That barn looks great outlined with the brick wall.
What a wonderful winter card, it makes me feel all warm and toasty! Very clever use of the window die.
what a beautiful card. You could frame it, Hope someone special gets this.
Kittie,
This is wonderful! Love all the details.
I love the 3D-like designs of your holiday card, especially the window view which does give off that chilly, winter feeling. It’s like you’re actually looking through the window and seeing the barn covered with snow. I’ll be looking forward to buying those cards next Christmas.
