Rubbernecker Design Team Spring Hop

HOP Post Banner

Welcome to the Rubbernecker Design Team Spring Blog Hop. Rubbernecker  has a wide variety of stamps for your Spring and Easter projects!
The Stampin’ Sisterhood has created wonderful projects to share with you today and give you a glimpse at some of the beautiful spring images.

I have listed the hop route below my project for you to follow.  You will find it listed at every stop along the way. As always you will want to leave a comment at every blog post to have a chance to win any Rubbernecker stamp set of your choice. The winner will be announced on the Stampin’ Sisterhood Blog Friday, March 3.

My project today was made using the darling Chick with Chicklettes image from the Friend Collection.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Black Brilliance and heat set.  I watercolored the image with reinkers mixed with water and cut out each individual chick to pop up in front of the fence.

I die cut the fence and clouds using white cardstock and the tree using watercolor paper.  I watercolored the tree trunk and branches with brown ink and the leaves with green. I attached the tree to the card base using rolled up glue dots so it would stand out a little from the card base  to add dimension.  I added tiny flower blooms for an extra touch of spring.  I attached the clouds in behind the tree limbs.

I attached the fence to the card base and then added sprigs of foliage to the ground area.  I attached the chicks in behind the grass and then added more colorful spring flowers.  I thought they were the perfect finishing touch to this project.

  1. I love the little chicks and the rest of the card is so “springy”. I have been trying to get that tree die but it seems to be always out of stock. Enjoy your weekend.

  7. I love this Kittie! I scrutinize every iota of your cards and come away with new inspiration. I’d not have thought of using the pine punch for grass, but I think I like it the best of all and will use that idea. This card has such a “happy feel” to it!

  9. Kittie, I visit your blog every day, and I’ve subsequently searched for and bought many of the dies and punches you used on your projects. That’s going to be true today, too. That is just an adorable card, and I especially love the fence and the tree.

  12. WOW! I love this card. All the dies you used and the details are just so perfect. And those chicks are adorable! As a side note, I viewed your bow/knot tying tutorials this week and have started to tie my knots using a bottle like you showed. They come out so much nicer! Thanks.
