Floral Thank You

Happy Monday morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  We have had gorgeous weather here in Florida this weekend with temps about forty degrees warmer than last.  I have another floral card to share with you today.  I pulled out my Spellbinders Daisy Head die set to play with.  I was not really sure I was going to like this set as there isn’t much division between the petals and I was afraid the flower would turn out looking too flat and uninteresting.

After I working to distress the cardstock I liked how the flower turned out. I added two additional smaller punched flowers to fill in the center.  I thought the white pearl was pretty and would match nicely with the white frame background.

I love the punched pattern on the frame and the  lower border.  It is so crisp, elegant and decorative. It is my latest Martha Stewart purchase.

Check out my tutorial section on my home page if you would like to see how I distress and form flower petals.

Check out my Kittie’s Korner post on the Rubbernecker blog if you would like a closer look at my soft Wild Flower project.  I hope you have a great week.

  1. Beautiful pink bloom in a good looking “frame!” I bought this set and gave it to a friend because I decided I didn’t like it. I don’t think she ever used it yet so I’m forwarding her this post so she can see what a nice flower it can make. Thanks, Kittie! 🙂

  3. Hi Kittie…..Love the colour choice of this flower & CS used. I`ve been meaning to ask you, approx. how long does it take you to put one of these creations together – roughly. Can`t wait to see what is next :o)

  4. What a beautiful card. I love all the dimension in the flower. Your wonderful border inspired me to try the PATP again. I followed your step-by-step pictures in the tutorial and it came out perfect the first time. Thank you so much.
