I had so much fun creating my springy yellow birdhouse card over the weekend that I tried my hand again using the yellow theme. This time I created a floral covered frame to highlight the Thanks sentiment.
I punched the frame border and then cut the center out to create the frame. I mounted it to the card base with mounting tape for dimension. You can click on the pictures to get a closer view.
I made the flowers using the Memory Box Petal Party die set along with the Mini Petunia from EK Success. I cut the flowers, distressed them to form the petals, attached the petals together using Glossy Accents and sponged them with peach ink lightly to add definition and added texture to the petals. I die cut several leafy flourishes, distressed them and then designed the flowers and foliage into a floral spray around two corners of the frame.
I finished by adding the sentiment tag inside the frame with the foliage tendrils. This card design reminds me of the old fashioned floral design of years ago. Check out my Packaging and Mailing tutorial if you would like to see how I mail my dimensional flower cards.
Happy Wednesday. I hope you can check back tomorrow. I have another Belleek inspired floral card to share with you.

Hey Kittie~~Wish I could have attended one of your Stamp Camps altho I might have ended up in the corner with a Dunce Cap on ha ha. 🙂
This is such a stunning card with all the rich colours and breathtaking flowers you added. You would NEVER know the flowers are created out of paper with all the bits of shading detail you add to them. Just lovely and puts me in mind of Spring 🙂

Very pretty card, Kitty. I am such a fan of your 3D style. The inclusion of the picture of the punches/dies you use really helps me get a better perspective of what a die can do and the size of the project ect.
