The Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge this week was to use Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi.
I decided to try my color wash technique on both the flowers and foliage. I was very pleased with how soft and pretty both the pink and green looked on the washed vanilla cardstock.
I wanted to create a soft background for the flowers and scalloped frame so I used the Belleek Inspired Technique using a brayer and embossing folder presented on Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge. I think the ribbon pattern in the embossed background looks beautiful with the light pink highlight.
I die cut the eyelet frame and then die cut the center out to expose more of the background pattern. I mounted the frame with mounting tape and arranged the foliage and flowers into floral sprays.
I think this is so soft and pretty and would be perfect for so many occasions. I hope your week is going well. We are on the downhill slide to the weekend.

Your floral cards are always so beautiful. As hard as I try I can never seem to get mine to have the dimension yours do. Oh well, it does keep me busy trying! 😀

gorgeous coloring of the flowers, pretty background for your framing!
This is just stunning
Yummy! Adore the soft-washed colours, especially the embossed pink background. Almost reminds me of an old antique linen or something that has gone through the washing machine a few times :))

Another beauty, Kittie! Your colourwashing is sooooo perfect but it’s the way you bend your flowers that makes them look sooo real! Hugs, Lesley
