Flowers Out of the Box

My project today was made for a double challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The Technique Lovers Challenge was to Crop It.  I stamped my long stem flowers from Rubbernecker’s Wildflower Set on a die cut scalloped rectangle too small for the image.  I stamped the image on the base of the card and mounted the rectangle directly over it allowing the bottom stems and upper flowers to show.  The layout of my card was suggested by the sketch in the Clean and Simple challenge.

I covered up lots of the fun image with my paper punched flowers so I thought I would show a picture of the complete set below.  They are such cute flowers and long stems and the set has some nice sentiments.

I made the flowers with four punches and combined different petal types for a fun garden patch kind of look.  I love the pink, blue and yellow together.KC Wildflower Set 5 left

The sentiment says “May your day bloom with happiness”. This is definitely clean and simple with a touch of spring.

Thanks for dropping in today.  Have a great week.

  2. Love the card. I love all of your cards. Our taste is so much a like. I have been a follower via email now for several months. Each morning when I open up my email, I have about 25 – 30 blog updates but I look in the list for yours first! Thank you for your inspiration.

  3. Beautiful Kittie! You’ve really taken “punch art” (which I generally don’t care for because it’s usually so kid-ish and I don’t have little kids anymore) to a whole new art level! I am in awe!

  4. Kittie, this is such a beautiful CAS Spring card. I really like the way the flowers flow past the top and bottom of the rectangle layer. Such pretty flowers.
