Nature Babies

Happy Monday!  I have a sweet project to share with you today using Angels Landing Nature Babies 2.  These forest animals are so adorable and fun to work with.

KC Fox Raccoon Squirrel 1 right

I printed the digital fox, squirrel and raccoon image on plain white cardstock and heat set well so the ink wouldn’t fun when I painted.  I watercolored the images with reinkers and cut them to put in my scene.

I die cut three sections of Grassland Border and attached two them together and attached to the card base. I attached the fox in front of the two grass sections and then attached the third section in front of the fox. I attached the squirrel and raccoon over the grass in front of the fox.  I really liked the grass showing between the animals.

I placed the clouds in the sky area and then attached the tree in behind the grass. I finished the project  by tucking several springs of punched branch and attached tiny little flowers to create a field of wild flowers, I love how this turned out.  The animals are so adorable. You can check out the wonderful Copic Coloring Guide at Angels Landing if you would like help knowing how to color these forest babies.  I don’t use Copic markers but I found the guide very helpful. You can see the complete set of images below.

  1. This is so cute and I know a lot of work went into coloring the animals but they are just perfect. You are just amazing and my favorite designer. The only bad thing is that you are inspiring me to the point of exhaustion. I rather make cards than sleep. Thank you!

  2. A fabulous scene, Kittie. Love your grassy layers. I borrowed my friends tree at the weekend and punched it once in green and once in brown but I have to confess I gave up trying to cut out the green leaves to place on the brown branches. Your patience is stunning! Hugs, Lesley
