Brown, Cream, Blue and Green

I mentioned in my post yesterday that our Rubbernecker design team members shared a paper exchange and I received gorgeous papers from Joan. My project today was totally inspired by the cream flowers and blue and green foliage on the brown Parsley Place designer paper.

I chose to use blue paper for the accent layer for under the floral spray. I punched the border and then crimped it to give added texture and dimension.

I color washed the punched vanilla flowers with Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy reinkers, heat dried and formed with a stylus on a mouse pad. I die cut and punched the green and blue foliage and shaped the leave with the same technique. I arranged the foliage and flowers and attached with Glossy Accents.  I added the Just Because sentiment to the card can be used for any occasion.  The final step was to add a drop of Glossy Accents to each flower center to add a bit of shine.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate all the wonderful and uplifting comments that you leave every day.

  1. Ohhhh wow, another stunner✿ I think you lucked-out with your paper exchange ~ whenever I’ve done them in the past, I end up with drab, boring pieces. I can never get enough of the antique linen shades .. again, reminds me of a well-worn pair of blue jeans.
Have a wonderful week Kittie 🙂

  2. BEAUTIFUL card, Kittie! I’m not used to seeing dark backgrounds on your cards but this is just as lovely as any. Great work and details. 🙂
