Good Sunday morning. Aren’t weekends wonderful. Even though Sunday is more house chores day it is still so relaxing compared to work days. I have had a great time this morning playing with some new designer paper. Our Rubbernecker design team had a paper exchange so everyone could have something new and different to play with. Joan gifted me with beautiful floral papers and the one I used today is from The Girls Paperie and is called Vintage Whimsy. The sweet roses on the paper inspired me to create a paper rose and foliage project. I love the sentiment from Rubbernecker’s Floral Silhouette Set.
I assembled the base of the card with the designer paper and added a strip of eyelet border in white to add another vintage element. I die cut the double matted frame using Nestabilities Label and Oval dies and layered over the sentiment and mounted.
I created the roses using the bright and colorful cardstock that I used for the base of the card and frame. I wanted the rose and bud to pop in contrast to the soft pink background. I used cardstock for the leaves that perfectly matched the foliage on the designer paper. I added a little softness around the rose and bud with punched branch sprigs. This is a sweet card to give a good friend for any occasion.
Thanks for looking in today. I have another long work week ahead of me due to moving in and opening a new medical practice so I will probably miss some of my regular posts again. I keep thinking I’m too old for this stuff but I am thankful to have a good job. Have a great week.

Question for you on this one.. where did you use the icicle punch?
Yeah for weekends, especially when you post two of your gorgeous projects. *smile* The CS colour is vibrant & yummy and speaks Spring to me–talk about motivating.
