The Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week was to create a zoo themed card. I pulled out the the fun Giraffe image from the Rubbernecker Animal Collection and a few die cuts and a fast clean and simple scene was complete.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper, painted and cut out. I die cut the frame, backed with mounting tape, applied the fence and grass to the mounting tape and attached the frame to the card base. I die cut the branches and attached leaves cut from the rock fern and attached the branches to the scene for trees, I tucked the giraffe in behind the fence and added a blue cloud behind the trees to finish the fun zoo scene.
I hope you are having a great week. Thanks for look in today.

Hi Kittie – this card just makes me smile as it`s SO cute. I really like the tree and now realize that is another die I have to get – ouch! (that`s my Visa card talking).
Maybe one day you`ll do a watercolouring tutorial for those of us who shy away from it…ohh btw, another smashing idea — what about a set of DVD`s outlining your techniques in papercrafting and painting. Lining up for it`s release as we speak •´♥
