Faith, Hope and Love

Good Monday morning.  I have a vintage tag to share with you today using Rubbernecker’s newly released 2012 Flourish #3 and Faith Hope Love sentiment. I used the wrinkle-free distress technique for the tag and enjoyed the process.  If you haven’t tried this technique you can find a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

I placed a piece of wax paper on my work desk, wiped Shell Pink and Peeled Paint ink directly on the paper and misted until the ink bubbled on top of the paper.  I laid the tag down in the ink to apply the color and then heat dried.  I repeated this step a couple more times until I was pleased with the color.

I stamped the flourish several times with Shabby Shutters on the tag to add a soft image to the background.  I stamped the sentiment with Brilliance Graphite Black ink and embossed with black embossing powder.

I die cut several of the Spellbinders Rose die sections using vanilla cardstock.  I distressed with a stylus and mat, applied Antique Linen to the edges using the Inkssentials Ink Blending tool and then applied Shell Pink to cover the petals. I attached all the layers together with Glossy Accents. I die cut two Foliage pieces out of Kiwi Kiss cardstock, distressed and sponged on ink. I attached both the foliage and rose with Glossy Accents.

I added a soft organdy multi loop bow to the top of the tag for the finishing touch. I heated it lightly with the gun to curl and age the ribbon.

I hope you have a great day.
