Good Monday morning. I hope you are enjoying the Memorial Day holiday weekend. I have a very simple card to share with you today that put all the focus on the sentiment with a lovely frame and accompanied with three sweet rolled roses. Have I mentioned that I have gone rolled rose crazy.
I die cut the base for the sentiment, stamped the sentiment with versa and heat embossed using gold powder. I die cut the same shape with lavender cardstock and cut again using a smaller die to create a frame. I attached the frame to the sentiment layer using mounting tape and then attached it to the main dotted embossed base layer.
I die cut one large and two small rolled roses using the My Favorite Things Mini Rolled Rose set. I wanted to add a floral decoration to the card but didn’t want it to overpower the sentiment. I used the same color cardstock used for the frame for the roses and added a touch of foliage using the Punch Bunch Ash punch and olive cardstock. I attached the floral arrangement to the card using Glossy Accents.
I love the simple elegance of this card. It highlights an uplifting sentiment with a few roses for a sweet finishing touch.
