I have a fun and simple card to share with you today. I have fallen so in love with the Memory Box and Poppy Stamps dies. I just had to have the Twiggy Tree and Leaf Canopy. I made this project for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge to use Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, and Bashful Blue.
I put most of my emphasis on the blue and used the other two colors in small doses. I created a double matted frame with Spellbinders rectangles to highlight the little scene. I attached mounting tape on the back and then attached the Memory Box Wrought Iron Fence.
I didn’t use the canopy as a silhouette behind the tree like it was most likely meant to be used. I cut the tree canopy and punched out lots of the leaves to attach to the Twiggy Tree. It may seem like a tedious job but it was done very quickly using my new QuickStik. It’s a great tool for picking up small objects like the leaves and attaching to the tree limbs. You can see a picture below. I added tiny little orange flowers to the tree that I made using my 1/8” circle punch and forming with a stylus. I mounted the tree with rolled up glue dots. I attached the puffy clouds in behind the tree limbs.
I attached punched foliage along the fence to create a manicured hedge and added more orange flowers for a finishing touch.
I hope you will stop in tomorrow to see a Victorian card that I made using my new Spellbinders Floral Ovals. What a gorgeous die set.
