Happy Saturday morning. I love creating scene cards and I have fallen in love with the Impression Obsession Tree and Fence dies and Solid Tree Set. For my scene project today I combined these elements with My Favorite Things Fresh Cut Grass dies and Memory Box Flower Mound and Butterfly Delights dies and framed using Memory Box Splendor Frame die.
I started by sponging in a cloud sky background on a piece of white card stock. Then I lightly stamped in the solid tree image over the clouds with light brown ink to use as a guide for stamping in the leaf background.
I die cut three tree out of kraft cardstock and sponged with brown ink. I die cut green flowers using the Flower Mound die, shaped them using a stylus and mat and attached them all around the tree limbs. I thought the green flowers would definitely represent leaves, especially when they were layered in front of the stamped leaf background. You can see them more clearly in the closer view.
I cut white fence sections and attached them to the base scene layer with thin strips of mounting tape. I mounted the tree directly over the stamped tree and leaves and in front of the fence.
I attached several fresh cut grass layers in front of the fence line. Speaking of grass, did you know that negative side left over from the MFT grass die cut is equally as lovely and useful as the original cut die? If you look closely at the photo below you can see how using both both cuts shows the grass in different directions and look more natural.
I cut the frame and attached it over top of the scene front with mounting tape. I added several sprigs of Punch Bunch Fern in behind the grass and used them like flower stems for the larger flowers in the scene. I added several smaller flowers in the grass for added color against all that green.
I thought several pink butterflies and the little rope swing would be a perfect finish for this card.
If you would like to see other projects made using the Impression Obsession dies and stamps check out my category listing here. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Love it , love it, LOVE IT!!!!!!! 🙂
I look forward to seeing your cards. They are such works of art and beautiful.
I love it. Once again after viewing your card my wish list has expanded. A beautiful card. I am curious how long does it take you to make each of your cards? I log on every morning just to view your cards. They are great.
I love your style especially the cards that look like miniature lifelike scenes. I find a lot of inspiration on your blog.
The detail that you put into your cards is utterly amazing. I love every thing you do, so I thought for once I would drop you a note and tell you!
Kittie,
You have given me a new obsession for several more dies I MUST have. LOL I LOVE this swing in the tree. I have the tree die and cannot wait to make something similar.
When I want a ‘Quick’ card I find myself over and over going to the Madison Window die. I know that doesn’t Sound Quick but to me it has So So many possibilities for Any Season and can be adapted to many many situations. I recently did one for an anniversary and personalized the greeting inside to compliment the window scene.
Thank you for sharing this new delightful card.
I have not been receiving your daily posts and all of a sudden here it is in my Inbox, I was so pleased to see it again.
Sincerely,
Susan Bagley
Gorgeous layering, love all the dimension in the tree, Beautiful!
