Happy Fourth of July

Happy Holiday!   My husband is working today so I am celebrating by spending time in my stamp room working on some upcoming projects.  I hated to let the day go by without posting something fun so I went back into my Rubbernecker gallery and pulled out this darling Flag Chick from the Patriotic Collection that I made for the 4th in June 2008. I can hardly believe how fast time flies.

I stamped him on watercolor paper and painted him with reinkers and a brush. I stamped the image again so I could have second helmet and flag to pop up in the little scene. I added a long flag pole.

I used Glossy Accents to coat the popped up pieces to add shine. I added a scalloped blue layer and red polka dot layer with the red gingham ribbon for a fun background to the image.

I hope you have a great day celebrating with your family and friends.
