Check out my small Card Sale
I’m sorry that Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty is over for another year. It is such a great experience and so much fun all week watching the flurry of gallery uploads for all the different challenges. My project today was made for Julie’s DTGD12Justwritedesigns challenge.
I love altering the windows to fit together to create a double window scene. The doubled Savvy awning fit perfectly over the windows as well.
I cut an opening on the card base the size of the window opening, and attached designer paper to the back of it with mounting tape. This gave a deeper level of dimension between the inside wall and the outside of the window. I cut the drapes with scalloped decorative scissors, crimped for a pleated appearance and attached directly to the card base window opening.
I attached the inside of both windows off and attached them together from the back. I attached the awnings to the window and then applied mounting tape to the back of the window and mounted over the draped window opening on the card base. I attached the flower boxes, filled in foliage and flowers and finished by attaching the picket fence. I love how this turned out.
Thanks for stopping in. I hope you have enjoyed my Dare To Get Dirty week of projects. Please feel free to check out my Card Sale.

Hello Kittie,
Gorgeous card – love the way you increased the depth perception by cutting out the window in the base card. Just beautiful work. I would like you to know how inspiring your projects are for my own card making.
so pretty, love the double window, and the paper you used for the awning is perfect!
