Good Sunday morning! I have a fast and easy Christmas card to share with you today. I received these wonderful Memory Box and Poppy Stamps dies in the mail on Friday and I couldn’t wait to play. I think the Frostyville Border is gorgeous and looks so sweet with the simple Pine Tree Border. I filled the sky with several extra snowflakes using the Twinkling Snowflakes die.
I die cut the tree border using plain white cardstock and then colored the trees using Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Markers. I crimped the base with the wavy crimper and attached to the card base with mounting tape.
I die cut the snowflake border, crimped the top with the straight line crimper and attached to the card base with mounting tape. Have you noticed that using a simple piece of mounting tape or pop dots can add dimension and interest to a project? It is one of my go to accessories for every card I make. I die cut a bunch of snowflakes and arranged in the sky area using glossy accents. Using the QuickStik tool really helps pick up these small pieces. I finished the card using a lovely sentiment from the Rubbernecker Snowflakes and Stardust set. It doesn’t get much faster and easy than this.
Do you hate the dirty edge that is sometimes left on your paper from the dies? Hint: Placing waxed paper between your die and light colored cardstock keeps the edge of your die cut cardstock from getting the dirty tinge of the die.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.
