Happy Wednesday morning. When I got home from work last night I was in the mood to make a Christmas card. I recently got the Leaping Deer die and thought it would be fun to place it in a simple stark white shadowbox window scene with a single tree.
I love the simplicity of the polka dot paper for a wallpaper background for the window. I cut a window size opening in the card base and then attached the window over the opening with mounting tape. I added a tiny bit of crimped white cardstock on both sides of the window to act as molding,
I die cut the tree and stamped it with a tree image from my Kittie Kits Moose set. I attached double layers of mounting tape to a plain white piece of cardstock, attached the die cut tree and deer in place and attached to the inside of the card base. There are three layers of mounting tape between the window frame and the white background layer which allowed enough space to create the shadow box. The double layer of tape doesnโt keep the card from closing properly. Here is a little closer view of the tree and deer..
I love how this turned out. It is so much cuter in person. I kept thinking I needed to add something else to this card but ended up thinking it is simple and striking with the white and green with the perfect extra touch of red ribbon.
Thank you for coming by today and I hope you have a great day.
