Arched Window and Pink Poinsettia

Good Tuesday morning.  Enabler Alert!!  Poppystamps has a whole new line of dies out including some wonderful, amazing  windows.  Have you seen them? My project today is made using the new Grand Madison Arched Window and the new Blooming Poinsettia paired with the Impression Obsession Pine Branch. A totally clean and simple Christmas card that lets the window and flower be what it’s all about.

I cut the flower petals and leaves, distressed with my stylus on a mat and assembled using glossy accents.  I lightly sponged pale pink on the petals and green on the leaves to add definition.

I used a beige marker to draw in branch lines on the cut pine and then while wet lightly stippled darker brown ink on to add a more natural look to the pine.  It is a little hard to see in the photo but here is a closer look. Don't you think this pine is perfect with the poinsettia.  It reminds me so much of Christmas in my mother's flower shop.

I attached the window to the card base using mounting tape. I attached the pine branches to the frame and card base with glossy accents and then attached the flower and green laves with glossy accents.  I finished the flower with a pretty white pearl.  I love the simplicity of this card.

OK!  Get ready!! You are going to see lots of new window cards in the future. I hope your credit card can stand it. LOL!  Oh….I love this new poinsettia die set. The shape of the petals are so natural looking.

I appreciate you coming by today.  I hope you have a great day.

  1. Beautiful! I have the new Poppy Dies on order. I do not have the pine branch yet but will have to add that to my next order because I like the softness that it gives the flower. Thank you for your inspiration.
