Impression Obsession DT ”It’s All About Dies” Blog Hop Day 2

Good Thursday morning.  Welcome to day 2 of the Impression Obsession design team “It’s all about dies” blog hop. You will definitely want to check out the details on the Impression Obsession blog to find out how you can possibly win three new dies of your choice.

My project today was made using Pine Branch, Birds and Border Duo 2 dies and the bird images from No Place Like Home.

This is a clean, simple and really fast and easy card to create. I lightly sponged Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the branches to ad a more natural appearance. I sponged the birds lightly with Pumice Stone.

I die cut the borders and then die cut the frame opening.  I mounted the frame over the card base with mounting tape.

I attached the pine and bird with glossy accents and finished with a gingham multi loop bow. If you would like to know how I make my bows you can check out my ribbon tying video tutorial here.

  3. You have done so many beautiful cards with that evergreen die that I know I am going to have to order it. Love the way you did the border and frame, too. Hope it isn’t too hard to do. Read your blog every time you post with my morning coffee. Love all the creativity in your cards.

  5. Kittie!!
WOW VERY impressive!! I love the way you shaded the boughs!!! You are very gifted!! OKAY—very random and ‘out there’ but I must say it—“Kittie—got a bird!” The whole composition and beauty that you captured with the birds, bow and eyelet—wow!! Thank you so very much for your generosity of giving away 3 dies and for allowing me to learn from you:) be blessed

  10. I just love bird images, especially chickadees. My feeders are just full of them right now. This is just so cute! I have been trying to get my hands on the pine branch die without any success as yet. As you’ve shown on so many of your wonderful cards, this die is so versatile.
