Snowy Christmas Window

Good Sunday morning.  I have another Christmas window card to share with you today.  This time I created a snowy scene to put in the window but couldn’t resist adding the Christmas pine and holly to the window front. This is actually the new Poppystamps French Doors die but I think it works as a double window just as well.

I cut the window and then traced on the base of the card from the inside of the outer window panes to use as a guide and then cut it out with my craft knife.  I popped the window up over the opening with mounting tape.

I created a snowy tree scene using my Kittie Kits Moose set, sponged in the clouds and then applied Liquid Applique for falling snow flakes and ground snow. I mounted the scene on the inside of the base card using mounting tape.  With the layer of tape on the window and the layer on the scene it created extra depth.

I added some of my new favorite pine and holly to the window sill and finished with a multi loop red satin bow. You can watch a video tutorial if you would like to see how I create my bows.

I hope you have a great Sunday.  Thanks for coming by.

  2. Everything that Mary Lou says above goes for me too! Always love your cards. I spent all last night making my own cat in window frame card ( but without that wondeful pine branch die )I had to use the Martha Stewart pine punch instead , but I loved the finished card, keeping it for someone special at Christmas!
