Hi Kittie,
Oooh, I do love that window combo and your card is exquisite! I think you can "make" stained glass by cutting the ironwork die out of multiple colors of vellum along with the black wrought iron outline. Then piece the colored sections within the iron work. I hope that makes sense…Thanks for sharing all you do!
Today I am sharing my second attempt using one of the suggestions provided for me this past week. I created almost the identical card and layout as I did for the window project in my post yesterday but changed it up just a bit. I used a piece of packing tape on the back side of the window and applied diamond glitter to the sticky side of the tape creating a frosted window. I colored the back side of the tape using Promarkers alcohol markers. The color shows softly through the frosted glitter. I really like the effect.
You can check out the details of how I created the window opening and finished it here on yesterday’s post. I used the arch section cut from the Gothic Arch to create shutters for the window. I attached them to the window and card base with mounting tape. I finished the inside window opening with another Small Gothic Window frame.
I created the pine and holly spray and filled it with pieces of pine from the Impression Obsession Twig Wreath and tiny poinsettias.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Thanks for coming by today.

Kittie, that window reminds me of a church window I had seen in my grandmothers church while growing up; especially during Christmas Eve services.

Good Morning Kittie, this is a super stained glass window, with the gorgeous light on the reverse side that makes it sparkle. Between this one and one the day before, I would find it hard to choice. Love them both. Must try this technique and die…..LoL Have a good week-end.
