Peaceful Pink

Good Saturday morning.  My project today was made for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers. If you would like to play along check out the master list of challenges here.  The challenge I made this for was called Peaceful Pink and to create a card that evokes peace, calm, and serenity with a touch (or splash!) of pink.

I brayered pink ink on the embossing folder to create a subtle colored background and to allow the embossed frame to remain cream.  I used what a refer to as the color wash technique to paint reinker on my rose petals.  You can check out my step by step tutorial here:

I formed the rose petals with a stylus and mat and attached the petals together with glossy accents.  I also added dimension to the leafy flourish with the stylus and then attached them to the base of the card with glossy accents.  I attached the rose and then added pieces of the branch punch around the flower to soften.  A cream pearl was added to the center for the finishing touch.

Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by.

  2. Thank you for sharing, Kittie! This would be a beautiful card to give to the women we minister to with breast cancer. Hope. Peace. Calm. Serenity.
