Good Wednesday morning. I have a cute project to share with you today that I made for a challenge of at Splitcoaststampers to use black, white and a little pop of color.
I cut the frame, ran it through my wave crimper and mounted it over the black sky card base with mounting tape. I love how the design of the frame appears like snow drifts. I applied glossy accents and glitter to the tree and tucked it in behind the frame. I popped up the branches with glue dots so it would stand out against the sky.
I assembled the snowman, added tiny sprigs of pine and red berries to his hat and scarf and added touches of glitter to make him sparkle. For another element of sparkle I punched out several tiny snowflakes, applied touches of glossy accents and dipped them in glitter. This little night scene is so much more sparkly in person than you can see in the photo.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I am very bad about leaving comments on blogs (something I am going to try to improve). However, I wanted to take a moment to tell you that you have taught me so much. I have been following your blog for sometime now. After seeing your projects made with the house and window dies, I made an impulse buy and bought several of the dies you regularly use. I can’t thank you enough for continuing to use the same dies in your projects. Many times, designers use a tool (die, punch, etc.) once or twice and move on. The inspiration you provide using many of the same items on a regular basis is AWESOME and very appreciated!! You also provide clear directions for recreating projects for those of us who are new to this. Just wanted to let you know that You ROCK, Kitty! Thank you!!

dittos to Judy’s comments…
Wonderful sparkly night snowman and flakes. 🙂 Ditto to Judy and Jan’s comments except I haven’t taken the plunge to buy the dies as yet but I can tell I’m weakening! Heehee! 🙂
Awww! This is super sweet! Beautiful job Kitty!
This is a fantastic card/project. I ditto the above comments on using the same die in multiple ways – very much appreciated out here. Can’t wiat to start playing with them. Also, these are the kinds of things my girls will also have a blast creating.
good afternoon, Kittie, I love the contrast of black and white, and the snowman is different, most of the time he is in the bright sunlight. I like the difference. the sparkles on all the snow flakes , snowman, and tree add to the scene. your think of winter snow…..thanks for sharing. and inspiration…….have a goo day.
Kittie –
What a beautiful card! I love the many ways you make that snowman look different. He is so cute! By the way, went back and ordered the twig wreath set and the tree die you used today! Couldn’t help myself, but as Judy said, I love that you show us so many ways to use the dies.

Beautiful card Kittie, what a great idea to use a night scene for the cute little snowman! Loved reading Judi’s comments above and agree wholeheartedly!
Have a great day!
Oh Kitty…another lovely card from you. I enjoy so much your designs. Always clean and simple .
And I do agree on above comments : love that you often repeat use of the same dies…alltough I have been tempted very often to buy the dies, punches and tools you used…
Thanks a LOT for sharing your time and talents with us..
Hugs from SPAIN
This is adorable!!!
What snowman die did you use?
On my computer the snowman die was a “blank box.” Now I see it is a Lifestyle Crafts Die. 🙂
You have an amazing ability to build a scene….This card is darling, and the sparkly tree makes me think of winters back home in Vermont. I love it!
