Inspired Rolled Roses

Good Saturday morning.  My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge and Wedding Bells was our inspiration site.  I was inspired by the Tea Rose Personalized Handkerchief pictured below.

I love creating colorful flowers layered on a crisp white background.  I created the Fleur De Lis square frame to highlight the flowers and foliage and to add another layer of dimension.

I cut the Fleur De Lis layer and created the double matted frame  opening with classic square dies. I mounted the frame on the card base with mounting tape.

I cut the flourish and attached to the frame and base with glossy accents and a few rolled glue dots.  I cut and rolled the roses and attached with glossy accents. I softened the roses by adding a few sprigs of the branch punch for the final touch. See ……… the Martha Stewart Branch Punch isn’t just for Christmas cards. It works beautifully for projects all year long.

  1. Hi Kitty! I’m curious since you’ve been using the MFT mini rolled roses dies lately how the roses made with each of those dies compare in size with the roses made using the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms dies. Are they even smaller? Could you possibly measure the roses on the cards you’ve made with these two die sets? I realize they all may vary a bit depending on how tightly one would roll them, but since I’m on an extremely tight craft supply budget I try not to purchase something if I already own something else that will do the same job… even though I’d love to have them all! LOL!! Thanks in advance for any help you can give on my question!!

  2. Beautiful Kittie, I love how you double matt the frame for an extra pop of color, I would never have thought of doing that! So pretty.
