Leaping Deer Silhouette

Good Saturday morning.  My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration site is House 8810 and I was inspired by a red and white Reindeer Throw.

I have really enjoyed creating silhouette projects this season and couldn’t resist putting white trees and reindeer layered over the snow and tree embossed background.

This is a simple, fast and easy card to make and would be perfect if you want to mass produce them. I attached hand cut snow banks, crimped them with the wave crimper and attached to the embossed card base. I tucked the trees in behind the banks and popped up for dimension.

I applied rolled glue dots on the back of the deer to pop up over the snow bank. I put a few sprigs of pine and red bow on the neck of the deer for a sweet finishing touch. I always like to add a pop of color when creating a project with lots of white.

Have you made all your Christmas cards and have your shopping done.  Not me. I’d better get busy.  Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope you have a great weekend.

  2. Finished? Not me. I usually have my Christmas cards made by the first of December, but not this year. I only need a couple more and since they are for local friends, it’s okay. I still need to make my thank you cards for all the gifts and goodies we have received and will receive.
    Love your card.
