Bunny and Spring Showers

Good Monday morning.  I can’t seem to stop myself from making spring scenes.  I couldn’t resist pairing one of the bunnies from the new Bunny Set  with the new Umbrella. They are perfectly sized for each other.  Even the Easter bunny gets caught in the rain sometimes.

I started by creating a double matted frame and attaching one of the grass borders directly to the back of it. I attached a second grass border directly on the base of the card. I attached mounting tape around the frame and then mounted it to the card base. The slight separation between the two grass borders adds a little extra bit of dimension. I inserted the clouds and then the leafy branch with tiny flowers.

I attached the bunny to the card base with mounting tape to pop it up. I attached the umbrella with double pieces of mounting tape in the center to hold it out and glue dots on the sides to hold flat to the base. I finished by adding a few flowers to the grass border and a few dots of glossy accents around the scene to look like raindrops. They don’t show up to well in the photos but they add a cute touch to the scene in person.

  1. That sweet little bunny holding his umbrella made me chuckle. An adorable card!! I’m thinking I really “need” those bunny dies after seeing you use them lately. Maybe I can get them in my hands by next Easter.

I love this card. I am impatient for the snow to go away and see flowers blooming again.

  4. This is so cute! Wonderful scene. I love your idea to have the bunny carrying an umbrella for spring showers. And love the drops of rain on the umbrella. Thanks for sharing.
