Good Tuesday morning. I don’t know about you but masculine cards do not come easy for me. I my opinion masculine projects need to be more simple and less cluttered. They do not call for ribbons, buttons and other accessories that we love to put on feminine cards. I think the Grand Oak Tree paired with a simple sentiment is a perfect card for any guy .
The sentiment was stamped on the card base with with olive craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I created the double matted frame and mounted it on the card base with mounting tape.
The tree was cut using paper matching the frame and I used my peeled paint distress marker to color the leaves. I applied rolled glue dots to the back of several leaves to hold in place and tucked the trunk in behind the frame, I like the clean and simple background with the main focus on the tree and sentiment.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Dittos on the masculine cards not being easy….sorry to say, but I always dread having to make one, especially for my dear sweet hubby….thanks for the wonderful example of how to put a card together that is appropriate for any male. Love the panel contrast, too. Have a great day. TFS
It makes for a wonderful guy card!
Kittie, I second that statement about masculine cards. I’m always searching for inspiration when it comes to making a card for a guy. I love the simplicity of this card and agree that it makes a perfect card for any man. BTW, I love all your designs. They are so lifelike!
