Impression Obsession “All About Dies” Blog Hop Day Two

Good Wednesday morning. Welcome to day two of the Impression Obsession three day “All About Dies” design team blog hop. Be sure and check out the IO blog to get the scoop on prizes.

For my project today I used the Easter Basket Set (sentiment), Gingham Cover a Card, Mega Mount, Sign Post, Leafy Branch 2 , Spiral Flowers, Grass Border and Butterfly Set

I cut the sign post using kraft paper and sponged on vintage photo ink for shading.  I assembled the sign pieces and sentiment and attached with glossy accents.  I cut off small pieces of the leafy branch 2 and created a vine growing up the post and cross the top of the sign. I rolled several tiny spiral flowers and attached around the foliage using glossy accents

I stamped the gingham cover a card background for the frame using lavender ink. I created a double matted frame with the gingham layer using the nesting squares and attached two sections of the grass border to the back using my ATG adhesive. I attached mounting tape to the back of the frame and mounted the frame to the card base.  I tucked the sign post in behind the grass and attached with mounting tape to add dimension.  I added a few butterflies around the scene and finished by adding a few tiny flowers in the grass.

  1. Another wonderful creation by you and a terrific showing of how to use purples…my difficult color, but I do love it. The dies are fantastic. I have a few in my collection as well as a wish list and love how they cut.
