Good Saturday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge and Spoonflower was our inspiration site. I was inspired by the Shabby Rose Fabric pictured below. I loved the yellow gingham and yellow roses with the soft blue background.
Here’s what I came up with.
I found one little strip of yellow gingham designer paper in my stash and paired it with blue polka dots. I created two size roses for my floral spray and created soft blue polka dot foliage.
I formed the foliage with my stylus and mat and then attached to the card base with glossy accents. I rolled several roses using my needle nose pliers and attached them around the foliage to create the spray. I softened the three larges roses by adding sprigs of the branch punch. I love the shabby country feel of this.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday.

Hi Kittie:
very pretty…yellow is my “difficult” color…I do not use it enough…your spray has so much movement…well job done…as for yesterday’s card…it looks like porcelain!! is the effect of the picture or did you do something to the paper? anyways love the monochromatic…
bye for now…

Gorgeous, I too love the country feel it has, the dots and gingham are great together, lovely flower arrangement!
Gorgeous flowers Kittie.
I love yellow and think it goes with any color. When I attempt using purples (my difficult color), yellow is the one color I can pair with purple and make purple work. Your card is beautiful.
That soft yellow is beautiful with that blue. The flowers are gorgeous. You made me realize leaves don’t always have to be green. I alwaus learn from you.
Good Morning, Kittie, Awesome card. I love the idea of the leaves matching the background, and the gingham is perfect to go with those gorgeous roses. …. love it, have a good day.
What a lovely, springy card! I have always loved gingham!
Kittie, this card is just beautiful. I love the soft yetlow and blue dot paper. The roses are gorgeous. Thanks for the inspiration. I love seeing your site every day

Your card is so much better than your inspriational photo! Love how you took those colors and created such a beautiful card! I’m going to try those rolled flowers again tomorrow!
A gorgeous card, Ellen, with such beautifully detailed and rolled flowers – wonderfully soft colors – I just melt into it – thanks for explaining how to make it, too! hugs, de
