White on White Embossed Birds and Flowers

Good Sunday morning.  Do you purchase new things and put them away without using them?  I am guilty.  I was going through my embossing folders and found a couple Sizzix sets I purchased quite a while back and thought it was time to use one of them.  My project today was made using the Birds and Garden Gate set.

I felt this lovely embossed design was perfect to be used on a white on white card.  I didn’t want to distract too much from the border so I used just  a couple pieces of foliage and one flower that matched nicely.

I embossed a 5.50” X 4.25” piece of white cardstock so none of the design would be cut off and attached it to cover the entire card base.KC Sizzix Birds and Garden Gate 1 center

I cut and formed a two pieces of Lorelai Leaf foliage and Layered Rose, formed with my stylus and mat and attached to the embossed layer with glossy accents.  I added a pearl to the flower center for the finishing touch. This was a very fast and easy card yet makes quite an elegant statement and would be perfect for any occasion.KC Sizzix Birds and Garden Gate 1 left
