Reunion With Friends

Good Monday morning. Have you wondered where I have been for the last several days? I enjoyed a wonderful weekend reunion with Kate, Pat and Barb, three of my life long friends from boarding high school. What a great visit we had together with stories and memories from our past, catching up on our current lives, children and grand children and lots and lots of laughter. My husband commented to me this morning how wonderful it was to hear us laugh like school girls (he is such a keeper). My heart is so full of love for these wonderful women and I was truly blessed by their visit.

We had planned on getting a picture of all us together but sadly we forgot to.  LOL!  Getting old is heck!

My project today was made using a  new Thinlits die set by Sizzix Border, Label, Medallion and Key. I used the foliage die from another new set by Sizzix called Fancy Label and Flowers. I created the flowers using the Impression Obsession Spiral Daisy and filled in using the Martha Stewart Branch Punch. The embossed background was made using Sizzix Flourish, Dots and Ribbon set and the double matted frame was made using the Spellbinders Classic Ovals.

I created a double matted frame and mounted it to the embossed base with mounting tape. I cut and formed several pieces of foliage and attached in the frame opening with glossy accents. I added a few sprigs of the branch punch to soften the spray.

I cut the key, applied versa to it and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I attached with rolled glue dots in with the foliage and finished by adding  the two spiral daisies to complete the spray.  I love the elegance of this project.

I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.

This is beautiful! Love all the white with the greenery, and the gold embossing powder is the perfect touch for the key. Gorgeous, just like everything you create.
