Vintage Shabby Roses

Please feel free to check out my Accessory Sale

Good Sunday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration site this week was Eglantyne Shop and I was inspired by the gorgeous vintage rose pictured below.

Here’s what I came up with.

I created the roses with the Layered Rose set forming with my stylus, mat and lots of glossy accents to hold the curled petals in place.  I curled each petal tightly with my stylus until they were all curled in. I used the needle nose pliers to curl some of the petals in more.  I used several layers of the same size flower on the largest rose and two on the smaller roses.  I used one layer of the smallest flower die to create the two little buds at the bottom of the arrangement.

I attached the frame to the card base with mounting tape.  I attached the foliage to the inner frame and then attached the roses in the center.  I added several pieces of the punched branch to soften the spray. Here’s a closer look.

I really love how these roses turned out.  I will definitely be making them again. I think cream would make the prettiest.
