Impression Obsession “Colors of Fall” Design Team Challenge

Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession design team  “Colors of Fall” challenge. For my project I used the Leaves set and Banners and Tails  paired with the Blessings sentiment.

I had lots of fun coloring the Leaves with Pan Pastel  colors and finishing with the Metallic Rich Gold. Oh my goodness. The pictures does not do these leaves justice. If you love gold but in a more subdued appearance then you will definitely want to try out the rich gold.

I applied the three colors on the leaves-Bright Yellow Green 680.3, Red Iron Oxide 380.5, Orange 280.5.  You can see my Leaves with Pan Pastel step by step tutorial here.

I added gold glimmer to the leaves by applying a light coat of gold pastel and then formed the leaves using my stylus and molding pad. I attached the ;eaves to the card base with glossy accents.  Here are a couple closer views to show the faint gold glimmer on the leaves.  They are so much more beautiful in person that shows in the photos.

The gold layer behind the leaves and small banner tails were colored with the rich gold pastel to create the perfect match for the leaves.

  1. These are beautiful. I been playing with the Pan pastels now for a few days, but you just made it so much easier with your one, two, three steps and your done. Then do the impressing with the stylus. You’ve made me into an artist. Thanks so much. I have loved every card you have done so far since I subscribed to Kitty Craft.

  4. Kittie: I just received my set of pan pastels and I am so happy to get your tutorial. This card is lovely but I think it will take practice for mine to look as good as yours.
