Good Monday morning. I have a snowy winter deer scene to share with you today made using the Impression Obsession Tree Die, Deer Trio 2 and the stamped Fir Tree and Small Fir Tree and embellished with Pine Sprig Cluster and birds from the Leafy Wreath.
I started by applying ink to the stamps, misting lightly and stamping the evergreen trees across the background. I was going to add a blue sky but really liked the starkness of the green and brown against the all white sky area. I cut two sections of ground snow using deckle scissors and attached them to the card base with mounting tape.
I cut the trees and deer and sponged and blended the brown ink. I painted white watercolor paint to the branches of the trees. I attached the trees and deer to the scene with double and triple layers of mounting tape to add depth and dimension.
I added sprigs of pine and red berries to the neck of the fawn. I attached pine sprigs to the ground area and added snowy tips with a brush and white watercolor paint.
I love making winter scenes and this is one of my favorite combing the die cut images with stamped images.
I am happy you came by and I hope you have a great day.

Wow, wonderful, detailed card! LOVE how you colored the deer … and the trees and snow and … wonderful! 🙂
Another fabulous card, Kittie. I enjoy seeing your winter scenes so much – keep them coming. Your passion for paper crafting is inspirational.
Breathtaking Kittie…I feel like I am looking out the window viewing this amazing scene. The deer will be romping through that snow any moment…My special treat every morning is seeing what you have created for all to see.
Hugs,
I am so glad I “fell into” your web site a few days ago. I thank you very much for your tutorials and your beautiful cards you so generously share each day. Such a treat to look at… and envy! 🙂
Lovely and peaceful.
Ooooooh this is just so beautiful! I have the deer trio and tree dies so I’m inspired to try something similar now – although it won’t be as good as yours! Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Gorgeous, realistic, and very serene!
Wow, this card is gorgeous! This would be the perfect card for our son and daughter in love. They are in the country and this scene would be like looking out their window. They love winter and winter activities. Thank you for sharing. Now I know which die to use for the little birds in the trees, I was wondering if that die would work. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cards everyday, I am so very happy Eileen Hull shared your project and that I found your blog. Thank you for your amazing artistic inspiration and the excellent tutorials.

This is so realistic… just gorgeous. I really like how you colored the deer and also how you put the little birds in the trees. I finally got the Memory Box deer trio die a while back but have not had time to play with it yet. They didn’t quite fit into my Halloween card design! LOL! But, I hope when I try to color them that I can make them look as realistic as yours do.
You amaze me! This is another wonderful card you made! I am every time more impressed! Just beautiful!!! I tried to add a comment below your Pinecone Tutorial post just to let you know I marked you on my post with the link to your tutorial here: http://macarena-creativa.blogspot.com/2013/10/pine-cone.html
Thank you so much for all this inspirations and the talent you share with us!
Hugs, Marzena

So beautiful Kittie, I agree with Pattie above, this should be framed, a Kittie Masterpiece!
Your cards are always so beautiful. LOVE seeing them. This one takes my breath away. So realistic, it feels like the deer could step off the card. Just stunning!
