Christmas Tree and Gift Bags

Good Tuesday morning.  I don’t’ know about you but I would never trust my husband not to peek if I put his presents under the tree in gift bags.  LOL!  But for the sake of creating a fun Christmas scene I did just that with the Memory Box Tall Shopping Bag, Gift Bag, Elizabeth Craft Designs 5 Part Pine, Poppystamps Grand Madison French Doors  and Impression Obsession Cat Set.

I started creating the tree using two layers of each section and finishing with one on the top.  I wanted the tree to be a wider size to work with the gift and shopping bags. I cut thin strips of cardstock, ran through the crimper and attached to the tree for decorations.  I added a few punched circles for ornaments. I added holly, pine sprigs and punched circles to the tree top and finished by adding stickles for a touch of sparkle.

I cut the window, attached a crimped piece of cardstock to the back and attached the window to the card base with mounting tape. I attached the tree with mounting tape for another level of dimension.  I decorated the top of the window with pine boughs and punched circles. I cut and assembled the gift bags, added holly, ornaments and stickles and attached to the scene. I had two cats left over from a project I made a couple of days ago and couldn’t resist adding them for one more holiday touch of home.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

  5. This is absolutely darling, I love it. After seeing you use the cat set in some of your cards I ordered it right away and am planning on putting cats all over my Christmas cards too, lol. Maybe you could post a picture of your real kitties as I am big time cat lover and would love to see yours!

  6. This card is beautiful. It reminds me of a cat we had many years ago that climbed up inside the tree! I couldn’t leave gift bags under the tree either, hubby would snoop. I really like the tree, the Elizabeth crafts pine tree looks like a versatile die. Thank you for sharing.
