Poinsettia Wreath

Good Tuesday morning.  I have another wreath project to share with you today made using the Poppystamps Small Blooming Poinsettia and Martha Stewart Branch Punch. I dressed up the red layer by cutting a decorative border with the Impression Obsession Border Duo 1 and added a little texture with my crimper.

I started by punching out a 1.75” circle, cutting out the center to create my ring for the wreath and attached the ends with a little glue.  I find this easier than pulling out two circle dies.  I attached the pine sprigs all the way around the ring by alternating the branches to fill in evenly.

I cut and formed three poinsettias and attached them to the wreath with glossy accents.  I cut two more large sections of the poinsettia and cut off sections of two leaves each and arranged them around the wreath attaching with glossy accents.

I finished by adding white pearls to the center of each flower and attaching ribbon tails coming out from under the wreath to add a touch of softness.  I love how bright and beautiful the red and green is against the white.  That must be my unconscious them this week as I think this is my third or fourth day in a row to post it.

Here’s a closer view. Smile It is so realistic it looks ready to hang on the wall.

  3. Just lovely. Do you have any tips for how to feed the paper into the crimper and get it perfectly straight? I often have a problem with mine–I use a Fiskers crimper. Often it looks straight until I roll it and see that the lines are at an angle.

QUESTION: how were you able to put your red card stock thru the crimped and still have a plain edge to die cut????????????????

  8. How pretty! My daughter is very crafty and enjoys making things for her American Girls. She would probably love to make a Christmas wreath like this for her AG “house”.
