Framed Vellum Blossoms

Good Saturday morning.  My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Free For All Challenge to use vellum.  I instantly thought of vellum flowers and foliage against a pink background. For some reason I had a very hard time getting the pink to photograph it’s natural color.  It shows darker than it really is and that’s just how it goes sometimes.

I embossed the pink background and attached it to the card base and mounted the frames to the background with strips of mounting tape.  I formed the flowers and foliage using my stylus and molding pad.

I attached the foliage to the base with glossy accents and arranged the flowers around the foliage.  I filled in with punched branches to soften.  I added the pearls to the center for the finishing touch.

I love using frames on my cards and just received the new My Favorite Things Rectangle Frames set this week.  If you like using frames you may want to check this set out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

  5. Amazingly beautiful Kittie! The vellum flowers are very unique. Did you use a Martha Stewart punch for the evergreen branches, it looks like it? That is one of my favourite Martha punches. The frame die set is going on my wish list. Thank you for sharing this creatively inspiring card. I have been thinking of doing something with butterflies made of vellum.
