Framed Peaceful Dove Holiday Card

Good Sunday morning.  I have posted several quick and easy holiday card projects this week that are striking and yet so perfect for mass production.  I have one more to share today using the newly released Impression Obsession Dove Cutout and Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames.  I created a card earlier this week with two doves.  It got me to wondering what the significance of doves are at Christmas.  I did a Google search for what doves represent and found the dove is a symbol of peace on earth.  The dove at Christmas symbolizes peace and freedom. The dove makes a perfect holiday card for any religious belief.

I die cut the dove cutout in red and attached it with ATG adhesive to a white layer. I wanted the red cutout to be attached directly to the white layer to make the  white more prominent.

I created a double frame in green, attached them together with a layer of mounting tape and then attached them to the red layer. I thought the decorative trim of the frames were lovely to create interest for the simple dove image. I attached a green layer to the white card base to give one more layer of color to the simple card layout.  This may be too many of layers for you and can easily be modified to use the red and green framed layers directly on the white card base.

I’m sorry that I didn’t realize there was a fleck of lint on the red layer until I uploaded the pictures to my post. Brother!  Where were my eyes when I edited these pictures?  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

I was looking through your blog and saw a card with a pair of fabulous IO mittens. I believe it is from Oct. 7th, 2012…my question is did you use some sort of embossing folder or texture plate for the background? It adds so much interest to the card. TFS.
P.S. I was released from the hospital last Monday evening, late, so I’ve missed a great deal of posts, I apologize for the time lapses in my comments but, it is only due to my pitiful health. I had an infection that made its way to the bloodstream.
