Good Monday morning. I have been on a clean and simple, fast and easy Christmas card kick lately. Both of my projects today were made with the same simple layout with different focal images. The first card was made using the Joy image from the Creative Expressions Festive Collection. The second card has a wreath made using the newly released Essentials by Ellen Laurel Wreath. The decorative border was made using the Impression Obsession Border Duo 1.
I attached the green layer to the white with ATG adhesive and then applied thin strips of mounting tape and attached to the card base.
I cut out a few of the wreaths, cut the two sections apart. I attached the cut sections together with glossy accents to form the circle.
I attached red sequins around the wreath with glossy accents and added a red multi loop bow for the finishing touch.
I attached the decorative green joy layer to the red letters with Crafter’s Pick glue. I popped it up on the card base using rolled up glue dots.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
I’m up late tonight or early morning, can’t sleep so I decided to go check my fun mail. What a surprise to get a letter from you so early and I get to post first. Both cards are elegant, it would be hard to choose. There is nothing like the true red, green and white for Christmas. Your work is always beautiful and I don’t always have time to comment, I wish I did because I go back to you often when I am making cards. Thanks so much for sharing your creative work with all of us out here in cyber land. Isn’t great to have internet where we can visit with people from all over the world and almost become good friends with them. Much better than the old pen pals in my days.
Hugs, and God Bless,
Gretchen
Good evening Miss Kittie…. Well I see 2 more dies I’m gonna have to be buying…. lol. I absolutely love both cards…I couldn’t choose one over the other so, gotta have both… so when I explain to my hubby that it’s your fault that I bought them, you’ll understand, right? lol…. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity……

What a unique JOY die! Looks nice on your card. Like the laurel die and your wreath looks great. 🙂
I had just seen the joy die earlier and wished I knew what it looked on a card. Well, I got my wish! Both cards are beautiful as always but I definitely need to get the joy die now. It will be added to the ever growing list of dies I “need”.
So beautiful Kittie, loving the “Joy” die set!

These carda are wonderful, you did an awesome job with the laurel wreath, the bow sets it off perfectly. I really admire your thinking. I LOVE the way the “JOY” card came out because it looks so elegant! As always TFS.
Good Afternoon, Kittie, I am late today. These are gorgeous. I love the word JOY. did you know what it means in this glorious season? It means Jesus Others and You. Joy and love to all. And I love both of these. Thank you so much for JOY everyday. ……LOL
Love both your quick cards and love the dies you used on each of them. Very lovely Christmas cards for sure.
