Good Tuesday morning. My project today was made using the new Impression Obsession Tea Set. I think this is such a cute set and can see it being made for all kinds of occasions and in all sorts of color combinations. I decided to add interest to the set by framing it in one of the frames from the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames and embellishing it with Tiny Flowers, Fir Sprigs and Holly Flourish. The inner frame was cut using the Nesting Card Templates.
I cut out all the pieces of the tea pit and tea cups and edged all the around each one with my gold Zig Wink of Stella. I wanted them to look like the bone china sets with the wonderful gold trim. I used gold foil paper to create the top of the pot and the spoons. I assembled the pieces together with glue dots and glossy accents. I cut the frames, attached together with 1/8” double stick tape and attached to the card base with mounting tape.
I attached the tea pot and cups to the card base and frame using mounting tape. I attached the foliage and flowers to the frame and tea pot using glossy accents and added gold accents with the Wink of Stella for another touch of holiday sparkle although it is hard to see in the photo.
Here’s a closer view. I think this is so sweet and would be so perfect to use as an invitation for tea.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
Kittike, what a sweet card this is…. All I need is a scone or muffin and I’d be ready for some breakfast….. I love this card…. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity…..
Beautiful card Kittie!!! Never thought I would like tea cups but this die set is so lovely!!
This is such a pretty card Kittie! I love it! I don’t always have time to comment… but I just adore your cards! They are always such a treat! Thank you for sharing them with us! 🙂
LOVELY card, Kittie! Charming Christmas pattern and nice double framing. Pretty “spray” of greens and red at the top, too. One of my late-husband’s favorite poems was Cup of Christmas Tea wherein a young man reluctantly goes to visit his old Aunt and they share a cup of tea and a visit he will never forget. Merry, Merry Christmas to you. Thank you for sharing your creations with us. You are an inspiration to so many and leave all of us in awe on a daily basis. Hot Cocoa Huggles, Gabby 😀
You amaze me daily with your beautiful creations. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Oh I so love love this Kittie..I jumped right over to Ellen’s and ordered it. So adorable and of course you did such a beautiful job.
I keep planning on having a tea…want to have one on my long front porch…but has to be just right weather wise. This is a great card to wake up to. Wish I was having my tea this morning instead of coffee.
Christmas Blessings Kittie.
Oh this is so cute Kittie. Love how you framed the cute tea set and the paper you used looks pretty. Another amazing creation.
Oh, I love this. I pinned it to my Kittie board.
Absolutely precious my dear friend. I showed my hubby and he thought it was a very “cute” card . . . his words . . . LOL! The tea set is so adorable, as well as the spoons. I see a lot of potential for that die set with girls’ tea party invites, etc.
Love the design on the pot and cups, very sweet scene!
Oh, how i love this card! The tea set is wonderful and I love that it is framed with a lovely swag, too.
Good Morning, Kittie. I would love to have a cup of tea. this is so special. as tea is so special. There is a great deal of history in tea, and so many flavors to add to times of friendship. I love how you presented the tea. Beautiful….love it…..have another cup for me……..hugs
BEAUTIFUL! It’s so nice to see something besides coffee…(hehe), and the tea set is awesome! I love those tiny little teabag dies, just too cute.
I look forward to another year of your gorgeous creations…teacup in hand! (yep, I’m a NON coffee drinker!) Tea is marvelous.
Merry Christmas, Kittie!
Amazing card! The colors are awesome and the paper is so delightful, perfect for cuddling up with a warm blanket, book and tea. TFS.
P.S. Our high temp today was about 54-F, tomorrow is supposed to be 60! That does not make it feel like Christmas to me. You never know about the weather in Central Ohio; you have to look outside about every ten minutes because it may change drastically, LOL.
