Good Saturday morning. I have another flower project to share with you today made using the Impression Obsession Full Bloom Hollyhocks and Spring Medley stamps and the Hollyhocks, Picket Fence and Tall Grass dies. I love the pop of reds against the all white background.
I colored the stamp using distress markers, misted lightly with my mini mister and stamped on the card base. I added color to the stamped flowers by applying touches of reinkers with my waterbrush. I cut the flowers using a bright pink cardstock and then added color using a mini applicator and then lightly washed with my brush. I stamped the sentiment using black versafine
I formed the flower petals with my stylus and molding pad and then attached to the card base along with a few grass sprigs with glossy accents. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the fence and attached to the card base. I applied two cross fence sections to the fence with 1/8β double stick tape to add another element of dimension.
Hereβs a closer view to show the stamped flowers behind the die cut flowers.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.
Card size: 5.50β x 4.25β
Kittie, this is so pretty and the best part is, this is exactly what I’m needing. A neighbor gave me a beautiful hand made quilt and I need a very special Thank You card… This will be it….. Again, your creativity knocks my socks off…. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity….
Such a beauty Kittie. I am so happy you played in the Free For All Challenge.
Very good kitty..keep it up
Kittie – darling card!! The supplies are definitely on my wish list. Please make some more using these dies. We need some springtime, don’t we? Thanks for sharing your amazing talents.
Until I viewed your third picture did I understand your explanation of how you made your card. I didnt realize, unless its new, there was a hollyhock stamp.
Love the dimension with the hollyhock die cuts in front, nice dimension and I do love the fence. Very pretty.
Fantastic, love the combining of the stamping of the flowers with the die, the tall grass adds a nice touch!
Eileen, the Full Bloom Hollyhocks stamp was released right at the same time as the die but I had forgotten I had it and never had used it before. LOL! It really is a nice stamp if you already have the Hollyhocks die set.
Spring is coming….at least here at Kittie’s place…. I love this beautiful bright card,
Stunning flowers Kittie..
Lovely! I like the red and white combo too!
QUESTION: How did you make the wood grain on the cardstock (on the fence)?
Good Morning, Kittie.simply beautiful. I love the Hollyhocks die. an was surprised about the stamp. Love the dimension with the added die. beautiful coloring as well. gorgeous. …..have a good day
Wow, so beautiful! The flowers look real! I enjoy your cards very much!
Hi Kitty,
Another beauty today – so bright, fresh and clean. Sure to warm the heart of any recipient.
Kittie, I’m by no means a ‘whizz kid on the computer’ and can only contact you through the comments section of your blog, so….if at all possible would you mind contacting me please. It would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Mary Mac
Hi Mary, the wood grain texture is made into the die and it is embossed when you run the die and paper through the die cutting machine. I hope this helps.
Mary Mac, I just sent you an email. Please let me know if you received it.
I love it. I pinned it to my Kittie board. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/415386765606189706/

I just had to leave a comment on this beauty ~~ Adore the bright colours of the flowers, esp. since I have seen much sun around here (Toronto) in many weeks. You always inspire me !
Have a Happy New Years !
Loved this card and the reds were divine! π Thanks for showing us how you did it!
Stunning!!! You are awesome!!!
SENSATIONAL work! Hollyhocks are the only flowers I ever grew as a child. It was special because my mom and I planted them together. When they bloomed I was amazed at the beauty they possessed. I LOVE your posts because I never know what wonderful thoughts you will evoke to me. TFS.
