Impression Obsession “Clean and Simple” Holiday Cards

Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession Design Team “Clean and Simple Holiday Cards” challenge.  My project today was made using the Christmas Icons set paired with the Pine Sprig Cluster set and the smallest frame from from the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames die.

It can’t get any easier than this.  I attached the white background piece to the red using mounting tape for dimension. I have a stash of the rectangle frames left over from past projects.  I popped them up on the plain white background using mounting tape.  I think they add another layer interest and dimension while still allowing the three icon images to be the main focus.

I cut the three icons out using gold, attached the pine sprigs with glossy accents and the tiny bows using glue dots and attached them to the frames and card base with mounting tape and glue dots.

That’s it.  Fast, easy and yet striking with the all white background and pops of red and green with the gold images. You could probably turn ten of these out in an hour or so if you have lots of holiday cards to make.

Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession Blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing! I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge. Thanks for coming by today.

  6. When I first saw this I thought it was a door with panels. The frames are fabulous as are the ornaments. Adding the gold gives this card a lot of chicness. TFS.
