Clean and Simple Floral Cutout

Good Tuesday morning.  I have a clean and simple card to share with you today made using the new Impression Obsession Floral Panel Cutout.  I pondered over how to use this panel in a different way than just attaching it to a card base.  I finally decided it would be interesting to cut an opening on the card base and to create a see thru window with the panel.

I used the panel as a template to draw lines for cutting and used my craft knife to cut the opening.  I attached rolled up double stick tape on the back of the panel and attached it to the opening.

I attached flat double stick tape to the second panel and attached it on the inside of the card to cover the opening for a clean finish.  Uh….I hate to admit it but I had to cut a third panel because I attached the tape on the wrong side of the second one. The tape had to be placed on the front of the panel so it would match perfectly.

  2. Nice Kittie…I just ordered this die….nice way to use it. I still haven’t done the “see thru” yet…guess it is time.
Did you use the red or white on the inside of the panel? Also….love those chickens.

  4. Vickie, I used the red cardstock on the inside so it would look like one piece when looking through the opening. Uh…..just in case I wasn’t capable of getting it on perfectly striaght! I am challenged with straightness. Don’t tell anyone…but if you look close at almost any frame card I make it is always a little catty whompered. LOL!
