Good Sunday morning. I have a bridal card to share with you today that would be so perfect to attach to a shower gift. It was made with the new Impression Obsession Gown set and paired with the Ornate Rectangle Frame, Spiral Flowers Large set, Leaf Cluster, Tiny Flowers and Leaves and Stems. It seems I can’t stop using the Bazzill Sour Grape and Easter Grass color combination. I had the lavender rose left over from another project and decided it would be perfect to use for the bouquet.
I cut the dress once using plain white cardstock to use as a base for two additional layers cut using vellum. I used scalloped scissors to cut the center out of one of the vellum layers to create a decorative element and dimension for the skirt of the dress. I crimped both vellum dresses, attached them together at the waist with double stick tape and then attach both layers to the dress base with double stick tape. I attached the dresses together at the waist as I knew the tape would show through the vellum but would be covered up with the bouquet.
I colored the bride using several shades of Copic markers. I added some detail in her hair and a thin eyebrow using a brown distress marker. I attached the bride to the dress with glossy accents. I created the bouquet with the rolled rose, leaves, stems and tiny flowers. I cut the ribbon from the gown set and attached to the back of the bouquet with glossy accents. I attached the bouquet to the dress with glossy accents. I added tiny pearls to the dress for a touch of glam. The bride’s neck got bent by accident so I ended up adding a single tiny pearl to cover it. I added two tiny leaves to her hair and then added three tiny flowers made using formed 1/8” punched circles for the finishing touch.
Here’s a closer view of the bride. I wish the crimped pattern of the dress showed up better in the pictures.
I attached the frame to the card base with mounting tape and then attached the bride over the opening of the frame with mounting tape. I thought she would look so pretty standing in the lavender frame.
Have you seen the Impression Obsession Wedding Icons set, Wedding Cake set. and the Bride and Groom set? What a great grouping of dies for wedding and shower cards.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.
