Inspired Framed Floral

Good Saturday morning.  My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge and the inspiration site today is Soft Surroundings. I almost went into inspiration overload on this site as there were so many beautiful fabrics, furniture, bedding sets and accessories but I finally settled on the Aubusson Bedding Collection.  I used the Creative Expressions Scandinavian Collection Background, Camellia, Petite Vinery and the tiny flowers from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Backyard 2 set.  The frame was made using the Nesting Card Templates set.

I chose a floral designer paper for the background with similar colors as the inspiration bedding.  I cut the decorative scroll panel down to fit on the back of an A2 sized frame and attached them together with double stick tape.  I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.

I cut three pieces of the vines, lightly scored the leaves with my leaf tool and leaf pad and attached them to the outer edge opening of the oval frame with glossy accents. I formed several sizes of the camellia blossoms with my stylus and molding pad and attached the layers together with glossy accents and finished with a tiny pearl center. I applied glossy accents to the back of the flower and attached it to the frame base.

The tiny formed flowers were attached to the vines with glossy accents for the finishing touch.
