Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession design team “Season’s Greetings” challenge. I don’t often put a sentiment on my projects because I don’t want it interfere with my scene or floral design. But I had lots of fun creating this clean and simple project with the new Very Merry sentiment set. The large whimsical letters allows this sentiment to be the main focus of the project. All I did to highlight it was alternate the color of the words and created a color coordinated frame using the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames. I don’t often put die cuts on the inside of my cards but I had an extra Gift Border left over from my tutorial in the CLASSroom yesterday.
I cut the frames, attached them together with double stick tape and then attached them to the card base using thin strips of mounting tape. I wanted the sentiment words to stand as high on the card base as the frame so I applied tiny pieces of mounting tape to the back of the larger letters.
I wanted to be sure the words were spaced evenly inside the frame so I started by attaching the star at the top and the word Christmas at the bottom. Then all I had to do was attach the three remaining word pieces evenly between them. Since the sentiment is a perfect Christmas tree shape I thought it would be perfect to add a tiny red bow in between the star and the a for the finishing touch.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession Blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing! I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.
Card Size 5.50 X 4.25”
Love the simpleness of this card. The letters in the form of the Christmas tree are perfect.
Good Morning, Kittie.A lovely card. but I must confess I love your scenes more. this is good though especially if you have many to make. the inside die cut is a good idea. I like to see the inside of cards, they often are hard to do. should we write a sentiment or die cut, or stamps? This gave us another option with the die cut and nice one too. ….have a good day…..hugs.
VERY NICE, Kittie!!!! You ALWAYS give us something WONDERFUL to see!!! 😉 LOOOVE this!!! 😉
