Poinsettia, Pine and Merry Christmas

Good Sunday morning.  I have another clean and simple floral Christmas project to share with you today.  I used the Impression Obsession Large Poinsettia Set, Small Poinsettia Set, Pine Sprigs, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year sentiment and the Evergreen Branch stamp.

A few weeks ago my friend and Impression Obsession design team member, Jenny Gropp gave me a 3D product called COLLALL to use to layer my die cuts with.  I had never seen or heard of this product but was really anxious to give it a try.  It is a long lasting elastic filling adhesive. It allows for wonderful layering and separation on projects like my poinsettia.  When it is dry it is extremely secures the flower layers and petals maintains the dimensional shape.  It isn’t easy to find but  here’s a link for more information and where I purchased another kit.

I formed the petals with my stylus and molding pad.  The layers were attached together using small pieces of the adhesive at the center and behind the petals.  You can see the dimension of the layers in the picture above.

I applied peeled paint to the stamp and then filled in the branch area with a brown marker and stamped on the card base three separate times.  I wanted to have a soft natural looking background for the poinsettia. I layered the white base with red and then attached it to the card base with mounting tape.  The sentiment was attached with rolled up double stick tape.  The poinsettia was attached to the case with glossy accents and a white pearl was added to the center for the finishing touch.

I get asked all the time how I mail my dimensional cards.  I love to use the crystal clear boxes found at Ellen’s.  Here’s a picture I took with one of my cards tucked in the box with a pretty matching bow.  It slips right into a padded envelope for safe mailing and the recipient receives an extra special holiday card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

  1. Beautiful card….you know I love the red.
Cool info on the COLLALL. I’ve used the silicone stuff years ago when I first started making cards, but haven’t heard of this. Thanks for the tip. The UK seems to have products before we get them here.
    Have a nice Sunday.

  2. Beautiful, love the addition of the branch stamped, adds a nice effect. I have the COLLALL
which I purchased from Crafters Companion in the US over a year ago and still have not used it (shame on me) one of those adding to my collection products. The dimension on the flower is lovely.

  4. This is beautiful. I love how you used the evergreen stamp as a base and then built up the 3D floral and leaves from that. Very cool. Still can’t pin the right photo but will share on FB.

  5. Good Afternoon,Kittie. Thanks for info on the Collall glue. I never heard of it. from your card it works wonderful. How do you work out the exchange rate on this site? Pounds are strange to me. Love your creation. and the idea of painting on the stamp first was a good one…..have a good day.

Red, green and white, this color combination is still yet my favorite.
Thank you very much for the info about the Collall 3D glue. Something like this (without the silicone) I already searched and now I have ordered at an online shop here in the Netherlands. I can’t wait to use it…
