Impression Obsession Spring Release Blog Hop Day 5

Good Friday morning and welcome to day five of our Impression Obsession Spring Stamp Release Blog Hop! The team is bringing you wonderful designs to show off the new stamps and there will be gift drawings.  Check out the Impression Obsession blog for all the details.

My project today was made using the Double Love Couch.  I framed the couch with crimped hand cut scalloped drapes and a crimped decorative valance made using the Border Duo 1. The sentiment is from Dina’s  Together Silhouettes and layered with the smallest section from the All-in-One Frames Squares and Nesting Squares.

I stamped the couch and sentiment with black versafine and embossed with black embossing powder. I stamped the full couch on white cardstock once and the pillow portion of the image a couple times on white and red.  I cut couch and pillows apart with my snips and paper pieced the pillows together on the couch base and attached with glue dots. The sentiment was layered on red and black and the layers were attached with ATG adhesive.

I hand cut the drapes with scalloped scissors and die cut the valance with the decorative border and crimped all three pieces. The drapes and sentiment were attached to the card base with ATG adhesive and the valance and couch were attached with mounting tape. I love the wonderful contrast of the red and white and the touches of black.  I think I will use this for my husband’s Valentine this year.
